Privacy Policy

What we collect

Nothing, by default. Spelliverse works fully offline as a guest:

• Your child's progress (words spelled, awards, coins) is stored only on the device.
• Voice spelling uses on-device speech recognition when available. Audio is processed by iOS; we never receive or store recordings.
• Spoken words and celebrations use the device's built-in text-to-speech.

No ads. No tracking. No third-party analytics. No data sold — ever.

Optional features

Sign in with Apple (for grown-ups). If a parent chooses to sign in — behind a parental gate — Apple shares a private user identifier and (optionally) a name and email. These are stored on the device only and are used to label the profile. They are not transmitted to our servers. Signing out removes them.

Game Center. Leaderboards are provided by Apple's Game Center. If the player is signed in to Game Center, scores (words spelled, coins earned) are submitted to Apple under Apple's privacy policy. Game Center is optional and the game works fully without it.

Beta testing (TestFlight only)

Beta builds include a feedback button that testers use to send us a note, an optional screenshot, and basic device information (device model, OS version, app build, and the screen the tester was on). This is sent to our private feedback system, used only for fixing bugs, and never appears in App Store releases.

Children's privacy

Spelliverse is designed to be COPPA-friendly: no ads, no tracking, no social features that expose personal information, and no data collection from children. Account sign-in is intended for parents and guardians and sits behind a parental gate.

Changes

If we add features that change what's collected (for example, cloud save or playing with friends), we'll update this policy first and the app's App Store privacy label with it.
